Hybrid System
Hybrid systems use two power sources—an engine and an electric motor—to reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency. By combining motor and engine power, the system delivers improved fuel economy, helping reduce gasoline consumption as well as emissions.
♦Hybrid system components
- Motor for electric power generation
- The motor for electric power generation uses power from the engine to generate electricity and ensures energy for the drive motor.
- Drive motor
- The drive motor assists the engine while the vehicle is moving. This reduces the load on the engine, thereby improving fuel efficiency.

♦Hybrid system mechanism
When starting out and during low-speed driving, the vehicle is powered by the drive motor alone. During normal driving, both the drive motor and engine operate to power the vehicle. At the same time, the engine powers the motor for electric power generation to generate the electricity required by the drive motor.
|
During deceleration, the drive motor functions as an electric generator, and generated electricity is stored in the battery.
