The six Aisin Group companies* including Aisin AW Co., Ltd. will jointly exhibit at Tokyo Motor Show 2017 to be held at the Tokyo Big Sight from Saturday, October 28th to Sunday, November 5th.
This year, the Aisin Group will demonstrate its progress in technologies in the fields of Zero Emissions, Automated Driving, and Connected Cars, the three next-generation growth fields in which the Aisin Group has been devoting focused efforts to tackle structural changes emerging around the automobile industry.
For the Zero Emissions field, the Aisin Group exhibits will present an expanded powertrain lineup, including the 1-Motor Hybrid Transmission developed based on the existing technologies and the high-capacity electric 4WD (e-4WD) unit. For the Automated Driving field, integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control systems such as the Driver Emergency Response System and the Automated Valet Parking will be exhibited. For the Connected Cars field, the hospitality services that constantly provide for comfort in driving by vehicles anticipating the user’s feelings, as well as the location-based services, will be shown in an easy-to-understand manner.
Featuring the core technologies that support these next-generation development projects, representative products in the four major business domains of Powertrain, Driving Safety, Body, and Information and Electronics will be displayed to demonstrate the Aisin Group’s manufacturing capability and commitment to quality.
Furthermore, as a comprehensive auto parts supplier dealing with almost all parts that comprise a vehicle, the Aisin Group will exhibit the latest-model demonstration car (frame model) equipped with a wide range of products manufactured within the Group. The demonstration car is designed to enable visitors to know at a glance which product is used at which location, and see the features of each product with lighting and movements, as well as visual images.
The Group will also exhibit ILY-Ai, a personal mobility device that can be transformed into four different forms; Vehicle, Kick-scooter, Cart, and Carry, thereby satisfying diverse needs.
The Aisin Group will continue research and development of products and technologies placing the highest priority on satisfying customer expectations, and will endeavor to further enhance its competitiveness.
