Aisin Group to Exhibit at 24th ITS World Congress 2017 in Montreal
The three Aisin Group companies* including Aisin AW will jointly exhibit at ITS World Congress 2017 (Le Palais des Congrès de Montréal) in Montreal, Canada from Sunday, October 29th to Thursday, November 2nd, 2017.
Under the concept of “Fulfill the dream of future mobility life,” the Aisin Group will present technologies that bring happiness in three ways: “Smartly connect you and your community,” “Enhance your mobility experience,” and “Maintain alertness, ensure your safety.”
In the exhibition booth, a video introducing “hospitality services,” which offer a safe, smooth and comfortable ride from a user’s home to their destination, will be shown, and a demonstration of the personal mobility vehicle “ILY-Ai,” which meets diverse user needs by being operable in four different modes, will be presented.
Furthermore, the “Automated Valet Parking” technology using an actual vehicle will be demonstrated.
“Automated Valet Parking” is a technology that automatically moves a vehicle into and out of a parking space, following instructions from a user outside the vehicle via smartphone. It helps users who are not good at parking and enables users to move a vehicle into and out of even narrow spaces where it is difficult to park and then get out of and into the vehicle. In the demonstration, simulating parking a car at a shopping mall, a user gets out of the car at the entrance of the parking lot, uses a smartphone to give parking instructions, and the car automatically parks itself. When the user later goes home, the car automatically leaves the parking lot and picks the user up at a nearby waiting area.
The Aisin Group will continue its engineering development that flexibly meets ever-changing social needs to provide products and systems that respond to people’s expectations.
