Aisin Group to Exhibit at 2018 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

Aisin Group* announced that it will participate in the 2018 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition from Friday, April 27 to Friday, May 4 at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.

In response to rapid structural changes in the automobile industry, the Aisin Group exhibit will focus on three next-generation growth areas: Zero Emissions, Automated Driving, and Connected Cars. In this exhibition, we will particularly focus on the Zero Emissions area in response to the introduction of New Energy Vehicle (NEV) regulations in China.

Aisin AW will exhibit the 1-motor FWD hybrid transmission, newly developed based on the transmission and motor technologies it has cultivated to date, for the Zero Emission section to demonstrate its response to vehicle electrification. The Company will also display its major products, including the 8-speed FWD automatic transmission, which is recognized as a flagship model in the market.

Exhibits by the entire Aisin Group will include the eAxle, a high-power electric 4WD unit that can be used in PHVs and EVs, and energy management products compatible with electric vehicles, such as the Electric Water Pump for Engine Cooling and the Cooperative Regenerative Braking System, which use energy efficiently to contribute to improved fuel economy. In addition, the Group will display die quench products such as the Door Beam to demonstrate its technology to reduce product weight in response to vehicle electrification.

Aisin Group will unveil the latest version of its popular Demo Car equipped with a wide range of company products. Its structure was designed to clearly illustrate where in the vehicle each product will be used, and video images are shown to illustrate the distinctive features of each product.

Aisin Group will continue to research and develop products and technologies with a priority of meeting customer expectations, and strive to further enhance its competitiveness.
