Aisin Group to Exhibit at 2018 North American International Auto Show

The six Aisin Group companies* including Aisin AW Co., Ltd. will jointly exhibit at the 2018 North American International Auto Show to be held in Detroit, Michigan, USA (Cobo Center) from Saturday, January 20th to Sunday, January 28th.

The Aisin Group has been devoting focused efforts in the three fields of Zero Emissions, Automated Driving, and Connected Cars, to tackle structural changes emerging around the automobile industry.

For the Zero Emissions field, the Aisin Group exhibits will present an expanded powertrain lineup, including the FWD 1-Motor Hybrid Transmission and eAxle, developed based on existing technologies to respond to electrification needs. For the Automated Driving field, Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control systems such as the Driver Emergency Response System and Automated Valet Parking will be exhibited. For the Connected field, hospitality services that continually provide comfort in driving by anticipating the user’s feelings, as well as location-based services, will be shown in an easy-to-understand manner.

The Group will also display a transmission lineup, including the 10-speed RWD automatic transmission for high torque capacity application, the Fully Variable Oil Pump, which contributes to improved fuel efficiency with optimum form, and a heat management system composed of an Electric Water Pump, Grille Shutter, etc. that enables efficient energy use.

Furthermore, a demonstration car equipped with the latest models of a wide range of products manufactured within the Group will also be exhibited. The demonstration car is designed to enable visitors to know at a glance where in the car these products are used, and to see the features of each product with movements and visual images.

The Aisin Group will continue researching and developing products and technologies with the highest priority on satisfying customer expectations, and endeavors to further enhance its competitiveness.
